One of the best parts of enjoying Mad Men is watching Christina Hendricks. She reminds us of curvaceous women who lived in a certain era and are gone forever. Today women are either athletic/slim or overweight/obese because only a handful of Hollywood celebrities can boast of curves.
Unlike so many women who want to turn into guys by trying aggressive workout regimens, Christina says that she first saw the fat build in her breasts and butt when she moved to Italy and started consuming cappuccinos. She says, “I would take my clothes off in front of the mirror and be like, Oh, I look like a woman. And I felt beautiful, and I never tried to lose it, ’cause I loved it!”
So how does Christina manage to keep all her curves?
She likes the treadmill to get her cardio routine done (cardio is mandatory if you want to maintain your weight because it burns calories). Like a disciplined fitness fanatic, she also does weight training (which builds muscles and changes your body to burn more calories). In addition she likes what is called the BOSU ball. Since this ball forces you to balance yourself at all times, if you do weights and squats on it, you improve flexibility and stability of your body. That is what makes any workout complete.
