I remember during my trip to Paris how much I suffered due to an uncomfortable pair of shoes.  I was stupid enough not to realize this until I was vacationing in Barcelona and nailed down my problem to my dressy but uncomfortable shoes.  So when I went to the top floor cafe at the El Corte Inglés department store, I decided to stop at the shoe section and found the most comfortable pair of shoes for just 70 Euros.

The point I am trying to make is that you should try to strike a balance between comfort and style.  Nothing turns me off more than tourists who wear sneakers and sweatpants because they want to be comfy, but being overdressed can also look out of place.  The girl above shows that you can put together an outfit that makes you look attractive but also be comfortable.
