Pamela writes, “I am 20 years of age and I am 8 months pregnant with my first baby. How should I take care of my body and my future baby?”
While I strongly encourage you to speak your doctor, here are a few tips:
- Make sure that you are eating healthy and enough for your baby, but do not overeat. You do not want to gain more weight than necessary. Talk to your doctor about your diet and weight gain.
- Stay active and workout in consultation with your doctor. The exercises during pregnancy are different.
- After the baby is born, breastfeeding is a great way to lose pregnancy weight and is generally recommended for the child. In addition to that, you should start a new workout routine in consultation with your family doctor and a personal trainer. In any case, within a few months you should try to lose all the pregnancy weight.
