So Elizabeth Hurley married Arun Nayar because she was dumped by her boyfriend Steve Bing when she was pregnant. Her off and on boyfriend Hugh Grant did not want to marry her but she never gave up on him and still considers him her best friend. She says, “There is a part of my life neither Arun nor my sister Katie understand; a career part and a different emotional level where Hugh is still my number one. We’ve been best friends for 24 years and that’s not nothing.”
Hugh Grant has lived at their home for extended periods and vacations with her every summer, though, it is not known if he went with her on her honeymoon. In other words, he is a permanent fixture in her life and inevitable in any relationship with her.
As you would recall, Liz had a very lavish wedding first at Sudeley Castle and then a Hindu style Indian wedding in the desert of Rajasthan, similar to that of Katy Perry and Russell Brand. The British tabloid Hello! did a 53 page spread in the magazine documenting the over-the-top wedding.
Apparently, Arun isn’t rich enough for her fine lifestyle and considering that she is a drama queen and he does not like being Mr. Hurley rather than she becoming Mrs. Nayar, they have quit.
