To answer that question we have to go back to the topic of if there is a marriage gene, because Jon Hamm, Brad Pitt and Sean Penn have demonstrated marriage is not necessary for a couple to be in a committed relationship.  In fact marriage rates are continually declining and French people are increasingly moving away from traditional marriage.  Those who are married are not always in monogamous relationships.

So it is no surprise that Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson have no plans to marry.  And it is not that she is cynical about marriage because other Hollywood celebrities keep divorcing.  She was herself married before to Guillaume Canet.  She explains, “I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There’s no paper that will make you stay. A guy friend of mine said, and it made a lot of sense, that people should get married at the end of the road, not the beginning.”  And luckily for her, she has found a boyfriend who does not want to get married.
