What is the Black Swan diet?

As if there were a dearth of diets, but just in case you thought that there weren’t enough already, Mary Huhn has created yet another one.  It is called the Black Swan Diet.  That’s right.  It is inspired by the anorexic ballet dancers in the film Black Swan starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.

So how do you follow the Black Swan diet?

  1. Consume a meager 1,200 calories daily.  It is much less than the recommended daily calorie consumption for an adult female.  In other words, you will soon start to lose weight as the body burns its fat reserves to survive.
  2. Go vegetarian.  Obviously, since vegetables have far less calories than meats, switching to being a vegetarian makes it so much easier to feel somewhat full through volume but still eat fewer calories.
  3. Workout two hours daily.  Again this is a weight loss plan and 2 hours every day is excessive, but if you do a mix of cardio, ballet dancing, and running/swimming, pounds will melt away rather quickly.

A word of caution:     This is a very intense diet and workout program that will help you lose weight simply because you are consuming so little and burning so many calories.  The body will soon enter starvation mode and weight loss will slow down, but you may develop other health complications.  Conclusion: do not start this until you have consulted with your doctor.
