Taylor writes, “I am in high school and I like a boy who already has a girlfriend but I know he used to like me. Unfortunately since she came he has not paid much attention to me because I think she is very pretty. How do I get his attention before he gets too deep into a relationship with her that he will completely ignore me?
As you probably recognize, dating at this age is rarely too serious, so I am not sure that if the guy that you like is actually really serious about his current girlfriend. Now, there must be a reason why he likes her and you need to figure that out. For example, if that was the only girl who responded to him, then, if you can pay more attention to him or be sweeter to him, you do have a chance. On the other hand, if he likes her because she is gorgeous, or is close friend of the family that allows them to spend more time together, then it will be hard for you to do much. In that case, it is better to forget about him and move on. I am sure that there are other boys around who will happily be your friends.
