“‘A perfect life?’ I think that’s sort of cliché, isn’t it?. Like, if you want to be happy, you should have the house, the husband, the kid… Kids are messy. I’ll tell you what, I think the 40s are great.” That is what Jennifer Aniston, the ex wife of Brad Pitt, told GQ. Okay, my experience so far has been that none of the things that she mentions give happiness because I know a lot of people who have them all and they couldn’t be any more miserable. What I have found is that you can be happy just by trying to be happy without having any of the things that people think will make them happy (awesome job, great lover, designer handbags, exotic vacations, servants, wealth, yacht, whatever).

No I am not an anarchist or crazy but I do believe that the corporations control our minds through advertising making us falsely believe that having their latest products is the key to happiness. The reality is that this never-ending search for stuff does not bring happiness, because when you have the latest version, you already start dreaming of the next model.
