How did Jordin Sparks lose 50 lbs?

Like Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks too realized that she could make more money if she lost some weight.  It is just a fact of the world of business that skinny people go ahead because everyone wants to hire them.  If you are overweight or obese but still successful, expect plus size modeling roles, and that is exactly what she did in the beginning.  Unfortunately, the money is a lot less because the appeal of big size clothes is very small, not even women who wear them.  I am hoping that she also gave a thought to losing the fat for health reasons, but it probably does not matter.

No magic pill or trick to weight loss: In an interview, she says that the reasons for her being overweight were the usual: unhealthy diet and no exercise.  Now if you were looking for a diet-that-you-have-never-heard-before and plan to go ahead and go on it, you will be disappointed.  Jordin merely changed her eating pattern to healthier, lower calorie dishes and started to workout more regularly.  She also changed her attitude by stopping to defend her large body by making claims that she likes curves or that she does not believe in being stick thin.  As anyone who has ever lost weight through by simply lowering calorie consumption and working out more often, the fat started to melt away.

Don’t fool yourself by defending your obesity: I am hoping that more people will realize that they need to appreciate their lives and bodies and not disrespect both by stuffing their bodies with junk.  As much as people try to tell themselves that they love to eat crap, the reality is that being at a healthy weight, looking beautiful, and feeling good inside are keys to lasting happiness.
