When
women put on some extra pounds, the first thing that bothers
them is not the health effects of being
overweight or obese,
but what will others think about them. This attitude
which minimizes the importance of the self, and is centered
around others, can prove to be counter-productive. When
the concern is others and not the self, you will focus on
wrong priorities and end up
losing your self esteem and
confidence. Below are simple tips on
how to still look
and feel great and
deal with your weight issues totally
separately:

Appreciate what you have:
Your body is a gift of Nature and it is YOU - there is no
other option but to like it. Yes, we all could use some
embellishments here and there - and there is nothing wrong
with
going under the knife or
putting makeup on - but first
and foremost, we must all love who we are at all points of
time.Show what you have with pride: There
are parts of your body that you like - be it your
nose or your
hair or
feet. And in case you miss something, friends
and family members will do the rest - they will let you know
what they like. So accentuate what you and others like.
For example, if you have great legs, it makes perfect sense to
use short skirts. Or if you have great hair, try new
hairdos or
hair extensions.

Get the right attitude: If you hate
yourself, so will everyone else. However, if you love
yourself, others will be charmed by your
positive energy and
enthusiasm for life. If you want to wallow in misery,
see your friends dump you in a moment; be
cheerful and
positive, people will swarm around you.
Shop for the right clothes: Stay away from
baggy and oversized clothes. If you think that you can manage
to somehow hide your so-called "imperfections," think again - you
will simply look like a slob who doesn't know
how to dress.
So
build your wardrobe by buying high-quality, well-tailored clothes with a good fit.
If you can't find outfits that fit you well, get the alterations
done.
De-emphasize what you don't like: Remember, what I
said above? And notice the subtle difference here.
Let's say you are not a big fan of your legs for whatever reason.
Well, use great-looking,
stylish pants instead of mini-skirts or
oversized skirts (both are inappropriate. Also, no
muffin
tops!
