When
Shakespeare said that "beauty lies in the eyes of the
beholder," he did not define beauty in such a narrow sense.
I think he meant it in a broader sense.
So who is she and how can she become one?
To find
this answer I looked at Velentino who is a master at making
even ordinary women
look great. In other words, just
changing one's appearance can compensate for not having that
perfect body or
blonde hair or
great skin. According to
Valentino Garvani, here are tricks for women (based on an
interview by Hal Rubenstein of InStyle):

Believe in yourself. Yes, clothes can only go so far.
If you feel that you are an ugly, fat cow, and have
low self
esteem, a $5,000
Chanel dress is going to do as much as $5
Old Navy
tee.
Walk right. You don't have to be 6-feet tall woman to make
a grand entrance.
Eva Longoria or
Reese Witherspoon are
petite women and they do stop people in their tracks. So if
you have to, take classes in
modeling so that you can learn
to walk with confidence and
attitude. (Related:
How
to be sexy?) Sit properly. Like walking, how you sit defines who
you are. People with good
self esteem and positive body
image sit as if they own the room. The best way to sit is to
lower yourself gently on a chair and then sit at an angle.
Preferably your
posture is perfect too; if
not, seek help from a chiropractor.
Beautiful smile. Admit that none of us is born with a
perfect set of teeth. So consult with a
cosmetic dentist and
let him help you depending on your situation. At a minimum,
whiten your teeth. And then learn
to smile (without showing your gums). It doesn't help to
have the angry face of
Posh Spice.
Shiny hair. This takes a lot of work but anyone can
get great hair by taking care of it.
Talk like a princess. Have you ever fallen in love
with someone over the telephone? I do it all the time. A
voice tells a lot about you. The right way to speak in any
situation is to keep it low, slow, and maintain eye contact
(without staring). I also like to listen more than talk. And
I love to ask questions - you will be amazed how interesting
even ordinary people are once you ask the right questions.
