s it a rare problem that some women find that their relationship with their partner is no longer exciting?  Not really.  The reality is that this problem is as widespread in Japan as it is in some other parts of the world.  Is it easy to bring back the sizzle of the days when you were dating and all you could think of was when you were going to see him and how soon can you get into bed with him.   Now this may be difficult to do as age and time do make a difference, but you can make it more exciting for the age and time that you are now.  Here are few things that our Japanese members have contributed:

1.  Love hotel style romance
This is one thing that people in other countries can learn from couples in Japan.  There is no way to energize yourself than to get away from it all with the sole purpose of being together physically and emotionally.  No reason to worry about chores and kids.  Just plain romance.  Now in most countries there are no love hotels but you can think of what you have and improvise.  You can do it even at home.  Now, what does a love hotel do?  It provides a place essentially for intimacy with no distractions.  And since the love hotels are perfect for intimacy and you know that everyone there is for one purpose - it does not take too long to figure out why you are there.  So visit hotels in where lots of couples go for honeymoon or weekend trips.  If you are trying to do it at home, make sure no visitors, guests, or telephones for the duration.  Arrange for a lot of good food so that you do not have to cook.  And make the place like a secret haven.  Make him feel as if he is there just for you and so are you.  And make sure that you take the initiative to get him out of his shell.

2. Give up sex for a while
Deny yourself intimacy till you cannot wait no more.  It may be hard in the beginning but then it will be a challenge and you will start to enjoy the excitement that awaits you later.  When you cannot wait any more, it will be a good idea to plan a date and seduce him so that you can indulge yourself.  Men never like to feel that they did not give mind-blowing love to their partner and feel pretty good when they hear the words, "No more!"  So if you can, save your energy for these moments.

3. Leave him alone for a while
Do you remember all those invitations from family members and girlfriends?  Well, take a few days off and just leave him alone to make him realize how important you are in his life.  Of course, if he is not around, send him some romantic messages, though by email or with the cell phones capable of sending text messages (or SMS).  It is only when men get separated from women, they realize how important for them it is to have someone available all the time.  No wonder when you do return to him, he will be all over you.

4. Recall memories of the past
Spend some time with him and take out your old albums to talk about the past.  Remind him about some of the things that you did together.  Ask him for his ideas to do similar things again.  Suggest what you would like to do and share with him some of the things that you are reading at MYNIPPON or your friends may have told you about.  This is very easy to do in Japan where pictures are taken for no apparent reasons but it is not a bad idea to bring your camera every time you go out these days so that you can build a collection.  The digital cameras are even better since you can simply delete the photos that do not come out to be as good as you wanted them and they can be easily emailed.  And do not forget the hidden advantages - you can take any types of pictures you want and no one but you and anyone you wish can see them.  No need to be embarrassed when picking up your pictures at the local store.  You are only limited by your imagination and it seems that the concept of privacy is finally real.

5. Be naughty again
Remember how you used to be a naughty girl when you were a teenager.  Japanese ladies will often dress up as a schoolgirl or as a nurse or as a flight attendant since many Japanese men have fantasies for these girls.  Ask your partner about his fantasy and then just fulfill it.  Try some of the lingerie that may be lying in your drawers and you may not have used it.  Just because you have kids now does not mean that you cannot be naughty again.  Play some tricks on him.  Surprise him with things that he least expects from you and this will make him think of the past once again.
