Anti-wrinkle
solutions for the rest of us
You
don't have to be a victim of Nature
So you have heard the name
and benefits
of Botox (registered trademark; all subsequent mentions in this articles imply that it is a registered name by its owner) a million times and even admired the looks of all those women and men out there that are now
Botox-enhanced. There are even Botox parties and it is no longer embarrassing to talk about a Botox treatment
(Autologous
fat transplant). Personally I do not see any problem with taking care of your body, staying fit, eating right, and using the latest developments in technology to look and feel good. However, not all treatments are for everyone, and apart from medical reasons, the other major consideration is cost. Remember that just five years ago, cosmetic procedures were prohibitively expensive and only the celebrities were able to afford them. They are far more affordable now that the technology has matured and a lot more clinics are offering them. The same is true for lasik surgery for the eyes. I remember when a colleague of mine got lasic surgery in 1999; the whole office literally converged at her desk to take a look. Now it makes as much news as switching from glasses to contacts.

So how should the rest of us get on the Botox bandwagon?

Well, we should stop eating and drinking three days a week for two years to afford it. I know some of you are probably already thinking about how you could eat something really inexpensive three days a week and save all the money. But let me warn you: it will be harder than it seems. Instead, you might try to find alternatives. In my opinion, particularly if you are a young person reading this, there is no substitute to eating right and exercising regularly to stay young and good looking for a long time. Doctors at TrueStar Health even include
sleep and attitude for staying healthy. However, for those of us, who were careless in our young age and have not had the best of eating, sleeping, and exercising habits, the choice is to find a solution that will make an impact on how we look. Thus, you might want to know about a product, called by a rather
un-pronounceable name "oglio-peptide". By the way, it seems that this product was originally developed as an ingredient of another product StriVectin-SD for something entirely different and was meant to be marketed as a topical cream for
reducing stretch marks. When the folks who used it found that it had a remarkable anti-wrinkle effect, the manufacturers realized that they had hit on something big since it had excellent
anti-aging properties.

Now
StriVectin-SD is being marketed as an alternative to Botox treatment. While it is quite different from Botox, the results are remarkably comparable. Some advantages of StriVectin-SD are: no need for an invasive procedure (or in other words, no one will poke needles and knives in your body), you can apply it yourself, and you will be able to look younger and better gradually over time as the chemical has its effect. Remember that Botox treatment works like a stop watch. As soon as it is complete, the clock starts to tick and the effect gradually reduces, until it is time for you to go back. With StriVectin-SD, you can simply apply it three times a day on your own, in the privacy of your bathroom, and you are ready to go. My sense is that for most of us, it is not a big drain on our wallet either - though you might still want to cut back on all those goodies that you eat. Weight loss is almost always a good idea. Didn't I also hear that the
40s are the new 30s now so everything is fair if you are a baby boomer?
