How often should I workout if I am fit?

I am not trying to lose any weight

Summary:  Below are tips on workouts for those men and women who are already at a very reasonable level of fitness and rather than trying to lose more weight or becoming even fitter they just want to maintain their fitness level.

Latest research published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise has found that working out just once a week maybe good enough for those of us who are already in good health and have worked out in the past (it is important to understand that this research is true mostly for people who have been generally fit and does not apply to people who are unfit, overweight and are trying to lose weight and become fit now).

I think this finding should definitely be comforting to those who worked on their fitness aggressively in the past and have somehow given up that routine, but in my opinion, if you dislike being fit, you will always have a problem. I think we can all strive to like fitness as much as we might like cheesecake or grilled cod.



I have never made a resolution related to fitness because eating right and working out are as much part of my daily routine as is brushing my teeth or shaving. I keep it simple. Below are some more tips to stay healthy for life without thinking too much:
