Lose
weight, have fun
Yes,
it is possible with the right attitude and right weight loss
technique
The
other day, Nancy from St. Louis asked us if we someone could
have fun while losing weight. So the first thing we
did was to do a quick Google search.
Surprise, surprise; there is no one really talking about how
you can lose weight and do it the fun way. Why does
weight loss and dieting have to be mental and physical
torture? Can they be made fun? So we sat down
with our team to brainstorm to find out a few ways to lose
weight and have fun. (Related:

Bellydancing:
We have written several articles on the subject because many
of our female readers are literally going nuts telling us how
much fun they have doing a workout and transforming their
personalities, like
Shakira. (Related article: Bellydancing for discovering your feminine side)
-
Swimming:
You can simply go for a swim regularly or join any of the
other water sports in the local swimming pool. (Related

Martial arts:
You pick what you want because the choice is very broad.
There are literally dozens of choices: judo, karate,
kung-fu, kendo, etc.
-
Spiritual-physical
exercises: We mean things like yoga
or NIA or
pilates.
-
Artistic exercises:
Ever wondered if you could learn ballet and have a workout
too? Yes, all you do is to buy a video and follow it at
home. We have heard that there are videos for workouts
based on hip-hop, salsa, and even
Bollywood.
-
Gardening: Fire
the local company that cuts your grass, blows your leaves, and
maintains the yard. Do it yourself instead. Not
only is it good physical exercise, you breathe some fresh air
and learn about gardening.
-
Capoeira:
It is a African-Brazilian form of martial art/folk dance that
can be a lot of fun since it is done in a group, where the
focus is on cardio, coordination of body parts, and
stability. Great way to meet some new people too!
-
Gridiron workout:
This workout is derived from the practices used by football
players and the emphasis is on speed and agility.
-
Bosu:
Apparently the name is derived from "both sides
up". This training uses a Bosu balance trainer,
which you can buy at many online shopping websites. The
idea is to adjust to an unstable surface. Try this in a
group and have some laughs too!
