Rapid weight loss
Recommended only for special situations; but it is possible

We have exchanged many emails and have chatted online as well as over the phone. He is now proposing a weekend rendezvous in San Francisco in exactly 11 days from today. While I am not really obese but I do have some extra fat in all those unmentionable parts. What can I do to lose some weight before the date?"

There are times when we need to look our best and this is your time. Particularly, because you met your Prince Charming online and have waited a while to make a date happen. So it is a good idea that you are not taking chances because this gentleman is probably marriage-material.

The choice you have for rapid weight loss is to have restrictive diet plans and exercises.  Now remember that this is not the way to eat for the rest of your life; just for a week or so. For long-term weight loss programs and fitness, there are other programs that you should follow, eat healthy, and always exercise regularly. What does the program entail?

  • Get ready:     Balanced, healthy diet, ideal for those new to dieting, but up for the quick weight loss. I would recommend that you choose dishes that give volume but not the calories.  In other words, a lot of fruits and vegetables.  Boil them, eat them raw, or stir fry them with a little bit of olive oil and salt/pepper.
  • Eat your proteins:  A high-protein, very low-carbohydrate diet to force the body to use stored fat for fuel.  Think fish here.   If you are a vegetarian, soy is the way to go.  You will be surprised how many dishes you can cook with just fish or soy.
  • Recovery: As you approach the end, you must make yourself eat closer to normal meals so that when you do show up for the date, you have that glow on your face and don't look decimated
