Toe shortening plastic surgery
How to reduce the large size of your second toe?
While
cosmetic foot surgery or
leg extension surgery are not the procedures that I
recommend (unless there is a medical - not cosmetic - reason
to do it), there are other plastic surgery procedures that you
can have to make your
feet look
prettier. For instance,
Beverly Hills physicians Dr. Robert J. Joseph and his
colleague Dr. Signorelli are making women with long second
toes feel
fashionable again. These two surgeons have revamped a
procedure to shorten second toes without leaving visible
scars so
women can wear their
high fashion strappy sandals confidently without any
embarrassment of a toe hanging over or having to go up a
shoe
size.
Previous
second toe shortening procedures required doctors to
actually fuse the toe joint, but with this new surgery
not only are joints and tendons unharmed, but the
incision is made on the inside of the foot rendering the
scar invisible to the public. "We leave the tendon and
the joint alone and the results are amazing!" Dr. Joseph
explains.
Details
about the procedure
The
procedure takes about 25 minutes for the skilled
surgeons to remove a portion of the second toe's bone
and insert a pin. After about two weeks patients can
have the first foot's pin removed and the same procedure
performed on the other foot. The total healing time for
this procedure is about two to three months and the
results will last forever!Recommended:
