Here are my simple tips:

Drink plenty of water.
Exfoliate your face twice a week.
Use a steamer to open the pores and pull out blackheads.
Always protect your face from sun.
Apply a moisturizer (you can use almond oil if you want to avoid a commercial moisturizer) if the skin feels dry, particularly during cold winter days.
Get at least 8 hours of sleep.
Do not unnecessarily pull your facial muscles.
