Communication is key to success in relationships
Many men fail to realize what a complicated process they have to go through to win the heart of a woman. Apart from patience, a man also needs communication skills to succeed in a relationship.
Roger from New Orleans has been dating Natalie for a little over a year but has not made much progress in becoming her soulmate. “We still see each other quite often, but it just seems like something is missing. She is my first girlfriend and I think that probably has something to do with it. Anyway, I was just wandering what you think I should do. If I should try looking for someone else or work through the problems with Natalie,” he writes.
I do not see any reason yet why you should give up on her, because it is not yet clear if you have any problems in the first place. My first reaction is that you guys are simply not communicating enough and that is why you have the feeling that you have drifted apart. And since you are the one to recognize the problem, you should make a sincere effort to communicate with her and that does not mean just talking to her. Your relationship is still new and there is plenty of time needed to get to know each other. So don’t just spend time together – talk to her and know her as a person. And also do not hesitate to tell her more about you. You both will realize that pretty soon you will both feel that you are getting closer to each other.
