My boyfriend is 30 years older than me

“I don’t know if normal would be the right term, but I am in love with a man that is 30 years older than me. We have been together for over a year and life couldn’t be better. We were a perfect match from the moment we met and when I told him “yes” the day he asked to marry me, it was the first decision in my life that I knew was right without question. His family and mine both are skeptical about the whole situation, but that only means we can prove them wrong. I know and he knows that if we walked away because of our age gap, it would be the worst thing in the world and no one could replace what both of us would have lost. My encouragement to anyone who is dating someone with a big age gap is just ignore the nasty comments from those lesser beings who don’t know what love is and just enjoy the time you have with your man (or woman).”
