How to buy an evening dress?
A question that many of you have asked. If you follow the simple tips below to buy your red carpet dress (what I mean is that a dress you would wear for your red carpet moment – be it prom or party or anything else), you should survive just fine:
- Seek help. The decision can be a difficult one so bring a companion along. Secondly, almost all department stores have personal shoppers, and believe it or not, anyone can ask for one and they are always free.
- Try it on. The way there is no one woman type, no two designers are alike. It doesn’t matter if it is designed by Valentino or Zac Posen, if it doesn’t look good on you, it is useless.
- Adjust it. Yes, you may need to get some professional adjustments done if the fit is not perfect.
- Wear it the right way. Remember what the tips we gave on how to build your wardrobe? Well, get the right underwear and hosiery, and of course, all the accessories.
