How can a visually impaired man date normal women?

Jeremy is a visually impaired man and he is having difficulty finding a girlfriend. “I find it difficult to relate to sighted women. It as if they always see me as a friend or a person to feel sorry for or in need of some motherly help. How do I get them to realize I am human just like they are?”

The harsh reality is that people just like to hang out with their own kinds and I think we should all have a choice to do so. How many times do you see interracial dating, for instance? In fact, it is not surprising to see that Irish-Americans from the Northeast do not really want to date someone from Texas. People simply find many ways to like or not like others. Having said that, you still see all kinds of people mixing. I am myself married to someone of another race and it is beautiful, even though I am the only one in my extended family to do so.

My advice for you is not to feel sorry for yourself in any way nor seem desperate to seek the so called “sighted women” as you put it. Trust me, a woman (sighted or not) will come and see who you are, feel the chemistry and magic will happen. I give exactly the same advice even to “sighted men.” It is not just easy to find someone you connect with right away and a lot of time we just assume that something is wrong with us. Maybe I am too short or chubby or my eye color is not right or I don’t have the hottest cars or whatever.
