Bra for backless dress
Carmen writes, “This summer I saw an interesting trend. Girls have been showing their bras off in the front (which I find pretty considering we have now started seeing bra straps almost everywhere) but also in the back in these backless dresses. I don’t know how to react and if I should try it. I think it is great that they are wearing a bra for support but if I were to wear a backless dress, I would choose other undergarment options. What do you think?”
Yes, we are seeing that as well after Hollywood celebrities popularized backless dresses. Take a look at this photo of Hilary Duff who went grocery shopping wearing a backless tee that proudly showed off her pink bra.
What these girls failed to notice was that these celebs manage to pull of that look with discretely hidden bras (and as we hear through the grapevine, lots of hidden double-sided tape). If you go to any lingerie website, you can buy a backless bra that is designed specifically for these dresses. Wearing a bra as an outerwear is also a style idea but not the way to do it with a backless dress.
