White Stars by Gary Pfaff

"White Stars" is the debut solo record from Gary Pfaff (who also fronts Atlanta band, Obsession Day). But this solo album is a record that is raw enough to catch even the most critical hipster's ear, while maintaining the pop sensibilities that has garnered this 28-year-old singer/songwriter an impressive music career. When asked to classify a genre for "White Stars", Pfaff calls it an "organic rock album" noting that he decided to go back to his roots by creating a more stripped down album. The record is a work of art, full of inadvertent hooks and lyrics so honest and true that listeners of all ages can instantly relate.
The lead single, "Perfect", is a feel good, get up and go pop song where Pfaff makes it known that in the midst of a very compelling record that he is not taking himself too seriously. Other tracks such as "Innocent" and "Wasted Again", show the depth of this talent's inner most struggles.
