Lauren Nelson of Lawton, Oklahoma is the new Miss America. It is nice to track all these misses out there because some Miss out there will do something entertaining. I mean Miss USA Tara Conner or Miss Nevada USA Katie Rees did entertain us in many "unexpected" ways.

Let us hope for the best for Lauren who is a hard-working student at the University of Central Oklahoma. Her personal platform issue is Be NetSmart ? Protecting Kids Online. I think that is very clever of her since we really are living in times when kids are under attack from predators. Nelson sang ?You?ll Be in My Heart? as her talent selection for the evening. Wow!
