Jennifer Hudson in Oscar de la Renta dress

If you don't believe in the so-called American Dream, you may want to read the story of Jennifer Hudson. From a reject on American Idol (which unfortunately is a popularity contest rather than a true search for talent) to wins at the Golden Globes and Oscars (not counting the other less known awards), she has come a long way.
And so has her style. As anyone can imagine, the rise to stardom has been rapid for her and while she is getting a lot of professional help, it will be some time before she gets it right. For instance, while her brown ruched gown by Oscar de la Renta was a winner but the metallic python bolero was not - I am glad that she took it off (I wonder in today's digital world, someone gave her the feedback). She also wore a 1960s diamond necklace with a 32-carat yellow diamond pendant by Fred Leighton.
She has to remember that she is a big breasted woman and like Vida Guerra has curves almost everywhere and that is why her choices should be like those of Queen Latifah.
