While Hollywood gossip may be my passion, I also like to salute celebrities that do their part in charity. In the past I have recognized Sabina Kelly and Kitten DeVille, Heather Schmid, Tim Spears, Marissa Winokur, Kelsey Grammer, Joey McIntyre, and Alec Baldwin.

Sonya Dakar, skin care expert organized a fundraiser for CancerCare by auctioning tubes of her popular Sonya Dakar 365 SPF 30 sunscreens that have been personally autographed by many celebs. Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna signed their names on individual tubes of the sunscreen during their pre-Oscar pampering, where they received complimentary skincare services in preparation for their red carpet appearances.

Dakar came up with the idea for the auction as an alternative to the traditional gift bag "swag" given away to celebrities during red carpet season. This year, she wanted to give them an opportunity to give back.
