The television series and the movie Sex And The City was as much about relationships for successful women in a large city as it was about their extravagant wardrobes. Most American would like to dress better, like the characters in the program, but cannot because it is too expensive or they will look out of place in a country where women go shopping wearing track suits and sneakers. And with obesity rates at 67%, most women are too out of shape to dress in trendy clothes.

Gossip Girls is bringing some of the same trends to the world of tweens, teens, and young college students. For the first time you see students actually looking into the mirror before stepping out of their house.

These girls -- Emma DeMar as Elise, Amanda Setton as Penelope, Nicole Fiscella as Isabel, and Taylor Momsen as Jenny -- dress really trendy. They have fashionable clothes that you can easily find in places like Zara or H&M or Bebe but you need to know how to build your wardrobe and put an outfit together to look cool rather than appear as if you are trying too hard.

If you ask me what I like, then well, I love the use of pink color, the gladiator sandals, the socks, red color stockings, scarves, headbands, and designer handbags.
