Coquito - a drink from Puerto Rico
Recipe
By Carmen M. Ramirez
The drink
coquito is very popular in
Puerto Rico during Christmas
holidays and some even compare it to eggnog in other
states in the US. So if you have already tried mojito
or mango
bellini or a non-alcoholic
mojito, it is not a bad idea to offer coquito to your
guests. While there are more complex ways of making
this drink, here is a rather simpler version.
What will you need?
- 1 can
coconut cream (15 ounces)
- 1 can condensed milk (14 ounces
- 1 can evaporated milk (13 ounces)
- Powdered cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of rum
How to prepare it?
Put all the ingredients in the blender. Blend on high for one minute.
Serve in glasses, wineglasses or bottles. Put cinnamon on top if you wish.
