you can have alcohol and eat fruits, there is no
better combination than fruits and alcohol,
particularly if served as a dessert. Here is

Ingredients
6 ripe pears
1 bottle of red wine (Which
wine should I buy?)
3/4 cup sugar
1 cinnamon sticks
2 table spoons of orange peel
3 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon of rum
1/4 cup whipped heavy cream

Process
In a large saucepan, put wine, 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon stick and orange peel to boil.
Peel and take out the core of the pears.
Turn the heat down to low and add the pears. Simmer them for about 30 minutes until tender. Keep beating the pears to make sure they absorb the wine.
Remove the pears. Discard the cinnamon stick and reduce the liquid to about one cup.
Mix cream cheese, ¼ cup of sugar and rum and blend well.
Fold in the whipped cream. Fill the pears with this mixture.
Serve the pears covered with the liquid.
