Ingredients
- One medium cabbage
- 1/4 cup of small finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A pinch of turmeric powder (optional)
- A pinch of crushed oregano leaves or fresh basil

Steps
- Cut the cabbage in
chunks
- Heat the oil in pan where the
cabbage can fit. It has a lot of volume
- Add the onion and wait until
it is cooked
- Add the turmeric powder and
wait a few seconds
- Add the cabbage, salt,
pepper, and herbs.
- Cover and put on low medium
heat
- Keep an eye on it so that it
does not burn. Usually it does not require
water but you can add a little if needed.
- Cook until tender for your
taste.
- You may add vinegar or other
herbs or
seasonings if you like.
