Playing Dress Up

I used to dream of my little girl dressed up in play clothes. Maybe she’d want to be a princess. Or put Mommy’s clothes on with high heels and a boa wrapped around her neck. She’d paint her face with make-up and even though she’d look crazy she’d be the most beautiful thing ever.

My little girl would be everything girlie loving pink, clothes, shoes, hair bows, and make-up. She’d be like all the little girls you see on TV with a fun sense of personality, super girlie, and oh so cool.

Of course, only while she was a toddler and long before we arrived at those terrible teen years where I would earn payback for everything I did to my Mother.

So here Joanne and I are sitting on the couch watching TV. Nothing big going on, Joanne and I are talking about nothing I’m sure and Zadey is playing. She often runs in and out of our room to bounce on the bed and to tell you the truth, we let her. She’s got full rein of the house pretty much. It’s baby proofed, she knows her rules, and generally speaking, she sticks by them.

Imagine my surprise when my daughter walks out of my bedroom with my bra on!

She’s welcome to dress up in my clothes anytime she chooses, I just had no idea she’d choose my bra first!
