Juno movie review
Unlike the time when Joanne and I wanted to figure out where the gas light was on our new car and ran out of gas in the process, because the gas light never came on, this is more stupid.
Joanne and I have done a lot of talking and thinking about how to have our next child. Really there are so many options but at the same time, so few options to really consider.
Last night, we set ourselves up on a date night leaving Zadey to be babysat by Doug and Tish. Having gift cards to the movies, we were anxious to actually go out and see one.
We browsed all the movies, times, and decided that we’d go and see Juno. It looked cute and we were both interested.
After reading the brief synopsis, we knew that we were going to enjoy it. A teenager gets pregnant and gives her child up for adoption. Yes, we can totally relate from the other side of things.
While watching the movie, we laughed out loud a lot. It was great, funny, witty and totally enjoyable. But we were probably the only ones in the theater that actually found themselves crying at the movie.
Yes, dumb asses, two adoptive Mothers longing for another baby should not go and see a movie about a birth-Mom giving her child up for adoption to an adoptive Mother that mirrors us exactly!
I mean really, what were we thinking?
After 3 hours away from our Zadey and enjoying the movie, even with the tears it was nice to come back home and hug our baby.
I’d have 100 if I could. But adoption, wow, that’s a process I’m not sure I could actually do again.
