open to any guy, but I like
Asians, especially
Japanese. But in my town they only seem to like
other
Asians and white girls. In my past
crushes all the guys I like only
wanted me as a friend and never really more. I was
going to just wait till I am
in
college to date you know,
high school isn't fun anyway. So
what do you think I should do to attract the attention
of a Japanese guy now and when I go to college."
Keep your mind open when it comes to
dating
I have never been a big fan of
generalizations but I tend to agree with you that
Asian/African American relationships are far less
common than I would like to see. I guess it could just
be
stereotyping in the two communities. I also wouldn't
be surprised that fewer
African
American
girls are
interested in Asians.
My advice for you would be to keep your mind open at
this time. So go ahead and try to
date anyone who you like regardless of race. In any
case that is
how you will find a relationship that is based on
compatibility of two individuals rather than their
ethnicity. It would also be a good idea for you to start
developing
friendships with Asians outside of the dating route,
for example, work together on projects, etc. This will
expose you to their culture and hopefully someone
will then become interested in you romantically. |
