When I became a fan of Louis Albornoz, I did not realize how much I would end up liking NASCAR and cars in general. That is why if you are in the Daytona Beach area, make sure that you visit the racetrack and check out all the fun things you can do there even if there is no race going on.

Like St Augustine, Daytona Beach simply goes on forever. It is also a very different type of beach. The sand is somewhat white but it is compacted so well that cars can drive on it (I did not like that part because all those stupid tourists in cars keep bothering you -- it should be stopped by Volutia County officials). Then there are these ultra-friendly seagulls who love to be around people. The other thing that I learned about them is that even though they can fly when they are waiting for their food (that comes with the waves) they run away from water. So it looks like a love-hate relationship with water.

When you are on Daytona Beach one thing that will catch your attention, apart from hot girls in swimsuits, are the seagulls. They are friendly, harmless (except for running away with your potato chips), and fun to watch.
