One of the defining features of Jacksonville is the St. Johns River. The great thing is that when you are on the river you can see the beautiful bridges and if you are driving on the bridges, you get gorgeous views of the river. This photo shows the beautiful waters of the river and the Hart Bridge standing tall on a bright, warm day in the city.

Contrary to what you might think, Jacksonville is one of the largest cities in Florida and the United States. Unlike other cities in the Sunshine State like Tampa or Daytona Beach or Orlando, of course, there are fun things to do, but this is a city of people who also get some serious work done. That is why companies like AT&T, Sun Trust and Modis have huge corporate offices there. No surprise then that you see their tall buildings.

The so-called Isaiah David Hart Bridge is a cantilever bridge on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, FL. In case you didn't know, Isaiah Hart founded the city of Jacksonville. The bridge brings all the professionals who work in the downtown Jacksonville.

This massive hotel is located on the banks of the St Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. Of course you will love its comfortable accommodations or huge lobby or fine restaurants, but what I loved most was the view from the windows. In case you are in a room with not the greatest views, well, just get outside for a little walk along the river. It is clean, safe, and a great way to admire the Hart Bridge and St Johns River. There are also several restaurants and cafes for a quick bite as well. And interestingly enough it is painted pink which reminded me of some of the buildings in Rajsthan.
