How to stop junk mail?

While my husband does not get many credit card offers, I used to get a ton. The difference is that he signed up not to receive them and I did not, until recently. It is such a pain to be shredding the credit card applications so crooks cannot get hold of my personal information. Plus, all these so-called direct marketing companies keep developing more and more information on you so that they can bombard you with even more junk and sell your information to other marketers who do the same. And finally, by receiving unwanted mail you are contributing to global warming.
If you want to eliminate or get less credit car applications you may submit your information here.
If you want to literally put an end to all the junk mail, then you can also do something about it, though, you will need to create a username and password (always a pain to remember all those). Sign up here.
There you can request to be taken off mailing lists. Be aware that this needs renewal and you have to reapply after some time.
What to do if you still receiving junk mail?
Take all the contents of the package and put it in the prepaid envelope and send it back. Since the sender has to pay for the shipping, you will see that you will never receive any more mail from them again. One of the fastest way to be deleted from their database.
