It ain’t easy being a vegetarian. First of all, as soon as you want to eat out of the house, you have so few choices and there are only so many times that you can eat an overpriced salad in a restaurant. Plus, on a per pound basis, vegetables often cost a lot more.
Despite these challenges many of us are vegetarians and thriving in form of better health. Now there is another reason to smile for being a vegetarian. A study by the German Cancer Research Center (Deutsche Krebsforschungszentrum) has found that men like me who are vegetarians reduced their risk of early death by 50% and my wife has reduced hers by 30%.
