I am late reporting about this, because I was traveling at the time. Anyway, The Tokyo Girls collection for Spring Summer 2009 took place in March 7 and the Shibuya Collection (the same company and very similar) on March 8.

This is a public event and thousands of young Japanese women attended it. It is a very nice activity to do with girlfriends, there are a lot of fashion shows and the clothes are not very expensive, in fact some of the brands are inexpensive.

The current fashion includes a lot of florals, 70s and late 60s inspired dresses, summer dresses, long dresses and mini skirts. There are a lot of bright colors and some neutrals, but I did not see a lot of whites this season. I saw a lot of hats and scarves and big bags.
