This month Japan will see some very interesting new phones courtesy of the phone company KDDI. The phones where design by artist Yayoi Kusama. Yayoi Kusama has many designs using dots, red dots to be precise and the phones of course have her famous dots in red and pink.
They are part of the au “iida” line. There three designs, although they are mobile phones they have intrinsic designs that make them a bit bulky. Never less they are unique and interesting and many will consider them art.
One of the designs is a dog that has a phone inside. The other phone is a box with a phone inside and my favorite is a small handbag that in reality is the phone itself.
