Paris 36 movie review

Poster of the French film Faubourg 36If you enjoyed the the French film La Vie En Rose (about the life of Edith Piaf played so well by Marion Cottilard) or even Avenue Montaigne (both movie give you a taste of the art scene in Paris), or Paris, you will like this one, though this one is not made as well.

It is the story of a theater Chansonia and its cast of struggling actors who lose their jobs because they are not able to run the place profitably.  With the help of beautiful and talented Nora Arnezeder (Douce), Gérard Jugnot (Pigoil) and Clovis Cornillac (Milou) try to revive the theater and succeed.

If you don’t want to get too complicated about it, you will enjoy the movie, but it is not the finest example of French cinema.
