Alice In Wonderland movie

Pic of the rabbit and Alice in the movie Alice in WonderlendI read the book Alice in Wonderland as a kid and then again as a grownup at the recommendation of my professors first in engineering school and then in business school.  Many experts agree that it is a book from which you learn a lot about life and the world.  Like most people I have also seen different versions of the story in movies.

This 2010 film is inspired by the original story but in this movie, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) is not a little girl any more but is a 19-year old about to get married.  Before she accepts the proposal from an aristocrat, she is lured into the rabbit hole for the second time.  While she sees some of the characters that we all seem so familiar with, she also meets a few new ones, and this time her task is to kill Jabberwocky so that Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) will lose her power and it will be restored to the White Queen (Anne Hathaway).  Of course the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is there to help her in the difficult mission.

Even though the cast of characters is all grownup, this is still a movie for kids, unless of course, you have a weakness for fantasy and you consider Alice an intriguing character who can teach you everything you need to know about life.
