With the arrest of Anna Chapman and release of Salt, it was perfect time to watch From Russia With Love, which was made well before I was even born. So it was nice to have yet another retro movie under my belt.
The movie, which was only the second in the James Bond franchise, is based in Istanbul, Turkey. Since the CIA and MI6 were desperately trying to get their hands on Lektor cryptographic device, when they are approached by Tatiana Romanova (Daniela Bianchi), an employee at the Soviet Consulate, who is ready to defect with the device, Bond (Sean Connery) is dispatched to handle the case. In one of those operations that we Bond fans love, he manages to steal the device and the girl, and they try to escape on the Orient Express. And action does not stop at any point. Actually, even in the 60s, the technology is pretty impressive at every step in the film. Recommended for all Bond fans.
