Her Alibi movie review

paula polina paurizkova porizkowa porizkoba paurizkovaPaulina Porizkova maybe a beautiful girl and impossibly skinny in this movie, she is no actress.  If it were not for Tom Selleck, this film would be a disaster.  However, together are able to pull together a likable, entertaining romantic comedy.

Phil Blackwood (Tom Selleck) is an author of mystery books and since he is lacking inspiration for a plot and feeling the heat from his book agent and publisher, he visits a courtroom to see if any interesting cases come up.  There he sees Nina, an innocent looking young girl accused of murder.  Blackwood, along with his desperate agent (William Daniels), produce an alibi for her so that she can escape the murder charge and he is hoping that he can create a compelling story based on the murder that she committed.  Since he claims in the alibi testimony that he was having an affair with her, she moves in with him.

During their stay together, due to a lot of misunderstandings, and hence, comical moments, he finds inspiration to write his novel.  It is a very nice, clean film, and should appeal to anyone interested in how different the world was in the late 80s.

Here is a particularly interesting moment from the film when Nina decides to give Phil a trim in his kitchen.
