Bras
and lingerie for small cup sizes
How
to shop for bras?
By Rebecca Cherry
I
have to go bra shopping again. I think I must have
lost some
weight, because my
favorite bra is NOT fitting me anymore, and the ones that do are too worn out. Oh boy.
Who makes bras to fit small
women? Though I think some companies are at least
trying.

Bras are nice. I mean come on...the only thing better than a
braless
woman is a woman in a nice set of underwear.
Aren't we cute when our bras match our
panties? Well. I suppose you've all seen (or owned!) a
padded bras, a gel bra, an air lift bra (I've never had one of those yet...they look a little too unnatural for me). In fact, a lot of times, it can be hard to find a bra that doesn't have some sort of "lifting" or
"enhancing" qualities. Which is all well and good. I mean, hey. I'm pretty small up there, I could use some help.
WHOA! What was that? "Could use some help?" What kind of attitude is that?!?
Yet, a lot of us must feel that way, because the "enhancing" bra market is pretty darn big. I think
MOST bras, even the larger ones often come with some sort of
padding. An awful large percentage of us must feel we "need" some sort of padding.
I know. All those magazines (and I am talking women's magazines here) do not
help either. (Related article: Breast
augmentation) |
What the heck, though, I must wonder. Why must so many of us be that insecure, that we need padded bras?
Can't we just get a little something for the support? If you are a C or D-cup, why do you need to buy a padded bra?
What, even
girls with large sizes aren't happy...they want even LARGER?
Which leads me to the implant
argument. You know, a lot of those women on those magazine covers that make us feel that way are
actually sporting an expensive pair of falsies or in recent years digital photography allows the publishers to play tricks (I am
told that they can adjust almost anything these days using
software and make a person look well-endowed in a picture while she might be quite ordinary in real life). They obviously felt that way too, at some point, or they would not be "enhanced."

I think we should all just hush, and be happy with our
bodies. I know, I go off sometimes about how I wish I was bigger and a little more filled
out, but I also know that I will never sag, never droop, never have a chest full of
stretch
marks.
A lot of those large women that make us feel insecure aren't always what they seem. Usually not. I know.
I was a stripper. I've been in a lot of dressing rooms, I've seen
a lot of implants and large natural ones up close. (Related
article: What
to do about sagging breasts?)
When I think about how much I hate my
small
size, I have to wonder. What, do I really think that a big,
veined, stretched marked pair is BETTER??? How about a big saggy pair?
Or wait, how about a nice perky pair of implants? Hmmmm... ones that don't move, that may go horribly awry at any time (ruptures, scars, etc. - not even getting into that this time). I mean, they aren't what they seem either. They look REALLY
nice in a T-shirt, but bare? They usually are too round, have a big space between them, don't match, or are just plain WEIRD.
Sure there are women with large, perfect, natural ones. Most "perfect" chests, however, are in the smaller ranges. They tend to be
perkier (EVERYONE knows that!!!!), rounder, smoother, not sagging, not
veined, and hang just plain nice. So why do so many of us feel we
need to hide them, with padded bras and such?
Oh....were you waiting for me to answer that? Sorry... I have to do some more research first. In the meantime, I'm
not wearing a bra. (Related:
