Avandia interferes with new bone formation

Despite all the widely known problems. Avandia has not been recalled yet, even though Avandia has a black box warning. Why? The FDA is reluctant to act and the manufacturer does not care if it is hurting patients. It probably looks at Merck and says that if they could get away with just a few billion dollars despite deaths of 60,000 Americans, it is not very risky to keep selling killer drugs.

According to latest research in California and published in Nature Medicine journal, Avandia may increase the risk of brittle bone disease. This drug has now been found to interfere with new bone formation.

In other words, if you are taking Avandia, you need to act by speaking to your doctor.
