Does Meridia cause heart attacks?

Remember when I brought to you the sad news that FDA refused to recall Meridia, a weight loss drug that was hurting a lot of people obese people desperate to lose weight.

Latest research shows that it maybe time to recall Meridia because patients with weight problems who take Meridia are more likely to have heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular problems than those taking a placebo.  In other words if you have a history of heart attacks or strokes or very high blood pressure, stop taking Meridia and speak to your doctor for alternatives.
