Harry broke up with his girlfriend after a very intense relationship of three years. She wanted her space and he gave it to her. "While I want to move on and date other women, she still calls me from day to day keeping conversations with me so that's what confuses me sometimes because I used to think of it as she was trying to work things out and wanted to get back together with me. Something is definitely not right with her and it seems that she is dealing with her own issues. Since she was the one who first asked you to leave her alone, you can simply tell her that you too would like to be left alone as well while she makes up her mind about what she wants to do about the relationship. Right now she is calling the shots - if she tells you 3 months later that she is simply not interested in even talking to you, what are you left with? Months of wasted time while you could be pursuing another woman. The best thing, therefore, would be tell her that as she deals with her issues, (you would still be able to speak to her occasionally as a friend so that you come across as a monster) but as you are starting to date again, it is not wise to speak daily or even often. You can mention that only couples talk daily and now that you are no longer a couple (and it is best not to be friends with an ex), talking daily is not helping either one of you in moving on.
