It
is quite interesting how we all seem to
live with one passion that never seems to disappear
– to wish
that someone love us. It is almost as if
love is as important as everything else that we wish
– food,
clothing,
money, security, etc. Of course, some people get
desperate for love and keep trying all kinds of ways
to
receive love, so much so that they even confuse
sex with
love. On the other hand, there are others who
believe that love just happens. While you can always
try but you may still not
receive love – may be only company,
sex,
or
friendship.
What is love?
Daniel Morgan from
the UK puts it all in perspective, in a rather
philosophical manner. He writes, “I am not writing to
tell you my burning desire to be with you. Just to say
that I hope that you
find love. I am only 17 and probably have a long way
to go before I ever
find love in true form but currently have found
something I have never experienced before. Is it love?
Maybe! My girlfriend feels like the 'one'. But what is
the 'one'? I hope it is true that everyone
finds the
partner they deserve and I hope they find it.
Have you looked anywhere other than
Japan for love? I thought I would never find a
partner from abroad but I did, and sometimes I feel that
experiencing a new culture makes life more interesting.
I hope you do
find love - you seem to be the kind of person that
should
find love and shouldn’t need to look for it. Maybe
what your looking for is right in front of you! I think
the fact you don’t show your image is good as you
attract people looking for more than mere looks. I hope
you find what your looking for even if its not love.”
Why do I keep my
identity secret?
Thank you Daniel,
you are such a sweetie! The reason I am making my wish
public is that I want to give myself to the world and I
want to
experience different cultures and people. You did
make me feel that I have hope.
A lot of people like
Daniel admire my approach to keep at least parts of my
identity a secret. One great letter came recently from
someone who writes, “What you are doing is very clever
in introducing yourself to the world. It is also more
interesting that you conceal your image. It has been
quite a problem though with the
Internet and meeting people through it, that people
talk with others of the opposite sex in search of only
superficial qualities. It is sad, but I guess we all
desire a 'Romeo' or 'Juliet' in our lives with admirable
physical and personality traits. It is much better to
talk to someone without having to show them your picture
first for approval. You never know how looks can affect
people's impressions about you.”
Interestingly
however, I do hear from a lot of men and women who want
to see more of me. Someone writes to me, “You are
indeed very sweet and your pictures are very enticing.
Please show more pictures of your
feet,
tongue,
bum, and
belly
button.”
I know I am being hard on you by
showing
just a bit of my body but you have to read what I
write so that you can feel what is inside my soul. I am
getting to know myself better through other people's
eyes. I have also been asked, “Can I send
erotic
messages - such as my inner most fantasies? Is that
something you would want to read?” What is more
important is that I want to hear from you and I do not
want to stop you from expressing your feelings. This is
exactly what love is all about anyway. |
