How to woo a hard to get woman?

Charlie asks how to ask a woman out when she plays hard-to-get.

There are two situations in which women play hard to get.

1. When she is simply not interested. While you can still persist - even married women will leave their husband in some cases for the right guy - but in most cases, it is a waste of time.
2. When she wants to test how serious you are. Remember that women get asked out all the time and they have to say no very often. However, men that are patient and peristent often win. So when she says that she is busy on a certain day, ask her when she is not busy and you will try to accommodate her. Or if she says that she is not looking for a relationship, then tell her that you first want to know her better as person - so all you want to do is to go to an art gallery or have a cup of coffee with her. The downside in this scenario is that if she is genuninely not looking for a relationship, you may be wasting your time. In most cases, though, she is just using it as an excuse.
